SIGN UP FOR A WORKSHOP THIS FALL!

ExplorART!
UNIT 1
Art-A-long-time-ago
Wednesday 5:30 – 7:00 pm ages 7 & up
A closer look at art involved in magic and rituals, cave paintings, Venus figurines and maternity figures, ancestors, power figures, fetishes, gargoyles and masks are some examples of the ancient treasures we will study and re-create. We will re-interpret as we compare the ancient works of different cultures to those of modern masters such as Rene Magritte, Leonardo Da Vinci, Modigliani, Frida Kahlo, Paul Klee and others by utilizing materials and mixed media that can be easily manipulated and applied by students in sculpting, drawing and painting.
